Strange Goings on in Priory Prison
ohn was exhausted. He had spent hours roaming around the corridors
of that forsaken place, looking for an exit, a way out, in fact anything
except endless corridors punctuated by spiral staircases. It was his own
fault really, not the getting lost of course, but the stupidity of signing up
for a tour of an old mental institution. Priory Prison had been its name. To
John it was still a prison.
For some time he had been able to hear a faint moaning in
the distance. At first he had avoided it, realising that whether it was a
figment of his imagination or not, it couldn't help him to get out. However
with darkness coming in through the bars and him no nearer to getting out,
John decided to make the most of it and seek the strange sound out. He
hadn't been following the sound for very long when he became aware of a
barely perceptible change in the colour of the light in front of him. An
orange tinge had crept its way into the dying grey of the daylight. Around
the next corner was its source. A orange panelled door with light
seeping through the edges. With trepidation John knocked. The noise
stopped and the door swung open.
"Haunted House creak #1", the door said.
"Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly, Ha ha ha!", said
the black apparition which opened the door.
Count Hugo only paused a few seconds to watch the gibbering human
flee before he closed his door and returned to his 'business'. Apart from
himself, there were two other people in the room, and a corpse. Now this
wasn't strictly true of course because with himself included, there were
actually four corpses, but the Count differentiated between animated and
unanimated ones.
"You greedy pig, Hugo!", Amanda started ," You're not content
with just one stray party member, you have to go and lure another."
"Shut up Amanda and drink up before it cools off", said Vlad.
Hugo, who was still elated after draining the life force of the
first victim, walked over and sat on the edge of his coffin. Amanda was
right of course, but two souls in one night would have fed him for months.
Anyway there was still the flesh to dispose of, once the others had drained
the blood.
Once he'd had his fill, Vlad proceeded to saw off chunks of flesh
and pass them around. Long pig was always good, but this tender young human
was the best they had tasted in weeks!
